Their 'coincidental' meeting at CCL launch was the talking point
Sudeep and Darshan back to being buddies
That everything is not alright between pals Sudeep and Darshan made big news last month. The two Sandalwood stars rubbished the rumours and even tweeted reaffirming their friendship. However, the fact remains that the two have not been seen together for nearly a year now. Ou Sunday, the announcement of the fifth edition of the Celebrity Cricket League and the Karnataka Bulldozer outfit was to be an occasion the two could have shared stage for the first time after a long time.
But inexplicably, Darshan arrived after the function while Sudeep was making an exit. It was outside the star hotel that the two met and bid farewell all at one go. And as always, Mirror was there to capture the rare moment.
Karnataka Bulldozers owner and Sudeep launched the new jersey of the team on Sunday.Conspicuous by his absence was Darshan though it was announced in the invite that he would be present. When the team members posed for a group photo, Darshan had still not arrived. After all the obligatory stuff, the hosts were leaving when Darshan walked in. The two smiled and that was when our photographer caught them in one frame.
The two top actors were announced to perform together at the function organized by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of the dedication of the Dr Rajkumar Memorial last month. It was an anti-climax as neither of them performed. They arrived on the stage separately and waved to the crowd. But even then, the two came at different times and did not cross each other's path. Darshan, on the other hand, met Shivarajkumar and the photo of them together along with the Abmareesh couple was uploaded on a micro-blogging site by Sumalatha Ambareesh.
Apart from Sudeep and Darshan, the Bulldozers team has Dhruva Sharma, Abhimanyu, Rajeev, Pradeep, Sunil, Chetan, Dharma, Rahul, JK, Rajesh and Pankaj. The fifth edition will kick off in Hyderabad on January 11. The tournament will move to Bengaluru on January 18. For the first time in CCL history, Ahmedabad will play host on January 25.
