AHMEDABAD: A woman of Piplag village of Nadiad taluka has lodged a complaint against an agent and a policeman for sending her to Oman instead of Dubai for a job. The woman had gone as a domestic help. The woman has complained of mental harassment in Oman. Meanwhile, the woman's husband Dinesh Parmar lodged a complaint with the Nadiad rural police of cheating on Sunday.

The victim, Lata Parmar, had realised only later tht there was a huge geographical distance between Dubai and Oman. Parmar has told police that Lata was tortured physically and mentally and that she wanted to return home. “A complaint has been lodged. The role of the policeman is also being probed,” says a Nadiad rural police official. Parmar claimed in his complaint that he had paid the agent Rs 60,000 for job, which he now wanted back. The police will contact the family in Oman on Monday to know more details.
