It was an invigorating evening on Friday when three known theatre and cinema actors – Tom Alter, Uday Chandra and Chandar Mohan Khanna -- came together to perform ‘Trisanga’, a session of poetry, verse and music in English, Hindi and Urdu.
The session began with Uday reciting Swami Vivekanand’s memorable speech delivered at Chicago in 1893, in English. After that there was a recitation of poetry of Dr Bharat Vatvani by all three followed by a poetry session with Tom Alter reciting poems of Idrak Bhatty in chaste Urdu.
Lastly but not the least was the turn of Chandar who read out verses from Maithali Charan Gupta’s Jaidrath Vadh in Hindi.
The event also had Alter enacting his story Father And Son, leaving the audience emotionally charged and singing Bob Dylan’s Master Of War. The evening ended with a healthy discussion with the audience about the event.
