All-Ireland Club

sfc Quarter-Final

Tir Chonaill Gaels (London) v Corofin (Galway), Ruislip, 1.0, F Kelly (Longford).*

Under new boss and ex-Leitrim manager Barney Breen, Tir Chonaill Gaels having won all four senior competitions in London this year but they have lost 14 previous All-Ireland quarter-finals.

Just two goals separated them from Corofin when they met in 2008-2009 and they're boosted by getting Cathal Magee's red card from the county final rescinded last week.

The Greenford side have other London seniors like Mark Gottsche, Philip Butler, Eoin O'Neill and Joe Feeney and ex-Donegal senior Aaron Bradley but will reportedly be without Barry Mitchell (hamstring).

Corofin have scored 23 goals and 96 points to date, scorching Galway and then the Leitrim and Mayo champions like a blow-torch.

Gary Sice, Ian Burke, Michael Lundy and Martin Farragher are dangerous forwards, dual star Daithi Burke is in midfield and Kieran Fitzgerald and Greg Higgins usually lead the defence.

(*Full deferred showing on Sky Channel 191 from 6-8pm)

Odds: Corofin 1/100, Tir Chonaill Gaels 16/1, Draw 33/1.

Verdict: Corofin

AIB Leinster Club SFC Final

Rhode (Offaly) v St Vincent's (Dublin), Navan, 2.0, A Nolan (Wicklow).* Live TG4

Rhode have dominated Offaly for a decade but, unlike Gracefield, Walsh Island and Ferbane, still haven't won Leinster, losing finals in 2006, '08 and '10. Two were lost to Kilmacud Crokes and the most painful was 2008 when they were six points and a man up but scored only a point in the final 40 minutes.

For a high-scoring team led by Niall McNamee and Anton Sullivan, they have a habit of drying up in finals, getting only eight scores in each of their previous three so that is a priority this afternoon.

But defensively the Darbys and Co are also going to be severely tested by defending All-Ireland champions St Vincent's who are on a remarkable run.

They've won 16 and drew one of their last 17 championship games in an unbeaten streak that dates to October 2012. Vin's big names, including Sligo's Brendan Egan, need no introduction and Shane Carthy, Gavin Burke and Ruairi Treanor have also impressed.

They tend to start like a train, ease off and repeat on the re-start but it's hard to see them making that mistake again.

Odds: St Vincent's 1/5, Rhode 4/1, Draw 12/1.

Verdict: St Vincent's

Galway SHC Final

Portumna v Gort,

Athenry, 1.30, C Browne

Things descended into farce locally this year due to a lengthy appeal by Turloughmore and defending All-Ireland champions Portumna played their semi-final nine weeks ago!

Gort last won it in 2011 and lost to them in the 2008 final.

They are also chasing a seventh title and had a two-month break too but beat Beagh (1-15 to 0-10) in their semi-final two weeks ago.

Their best-known players are Gerry Quinn, Aidan Harte, Sylvie Og Linnane and Richie Cummins.

Odds: Portumna 4/9, Gort 11/5, Draw 8/1.

Verdict: Portumna
