SCR to run two superfast trains

South Central Railway (SCR) will run two premium superfast specials between Kacheguda and Visakhapatnam to clear the extra rush of passengers. Advance booking for the same will start at 8 a.m. on Saturday only through the IRCTC portal on the internet, a press release said.

Accordingly, no. 02209 will leave Kacheguda at 10.40 p.m. on December 24 and reach Visakhapatnam at 9.45 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, no. 02210 will depart at Visakhapatnam at 9.10 p.m. and arrive at Kacheguda at 8.10 a.m. the next day. En route, they will stop at Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Samalkot and Anakapalli stations.

Inauguration today

Aurangabad MP Chandrakant Khaire will inaugurate a weekly Aurangabad-Renigunta Express at a function to be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, at Aurangabad.

In tune with the announcement in the Railway Budget 2014-2015, SCR will introduce train no. 17621/17622 Aurangabad-Renigunta-Aurangabad Weekly Express via Parbhani, Vikarabad and Guntakal (with effect from December 19, Ex. Aurangabad and December 20, Ex. Renigunta), a press release said.

The run of several premium special trains have been extended to clear the extra rush of passengers. They include 12 more services of train no. 02510/02509, 52 of nos. 00851/00852 and eight of nos. 02863/02864, according to a press release.
