SRINAGAR, Dec 12:
The National highway, connection Ladakh region with Kashmir valley, has been closed due to slippery road conditions following below freezing temperature.
Official sources said that the highway from Sonmarg to Gumri has been closed as water on the highway on Zojila pass has been frozen due to which road has become slippery as the minimum and maximum temperatures remained below sub-zero.
However, decision to close the highway for winter months will be taken later.
They said road from Srinagar to Sonamarg and Gumri to Leh will remain open till further orders. (AGENCIES)
