Alia Bhatt to sing in the Rock On !! sequel?

Denying reports that Alia Bhatt would be crooning her songs for the sequel to Rock On!!, Ehsaan Noorani of the musical trio of Shankar- Ehsaan- Loy who are composing the film’s music, said that the write up was misconstrued. “I don’t even know if Alia is in the film as nothing has been confirmed yet. We just have the production dates when we will be recording the songs and have no idea who the supporting cast or the lead actress is,” said Noorani.
About the kind of music they will be composing for the musical, Noorani said that everything was in the nascent stage. “We’ve not even heard the script yet. We didn’t plan anything for Rock On!! and just got into the studio and started composingc. The music was not centered around situations, but was about a rock band who writes music. But we have no idea about the music of Rock On!! 2.”
Rock On!! music made waves in 2008 and was one of the first successful Bollywood films to center around a rock band. It also marked Farhan Akhtar’s debut as an actor and also saw him crooning for the first time for a mainstream film. Bhatt has earlier lent her voice for Sooha saaha in a duet with Pakistani singer Zeb Bangash for Highway and the unplugged version of Samjhawan for Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya.
