Janpad CEO fined for not delivering services within time-limit

BHOPAL: Chief executive officer of Katangi Janpad Panchayat in Balaghat district UL Markam has been fined Rs 5000 for not delivering services to an applicant within the time-limit.
The amount of fine will be deducted from his salary and given to the applicant affected by delay in delivery of service. Jeevan Lal and Hiran Bai of village Devri in Katangi development block of Balaghat district had applied on August 22, 2014 through public service centre for sanction of old age pension and widow pension.
Under the act’s provisions, these services should have been delivered by November 18, 2014. During online review of schemes, it was found that Katangi Janpad Panchayat’s CEO has not sanctioned pension to both the applicants till date. Owing to this, applicants were not delivered desired services within time-limit and had to undergo troubles.
