A dump truck broke down Thursday morning on the Zakim Bridge heading north out of Boston, creating delays that cascaded down to the Southeast Expressway, State Police said.
The truck broke down on Interstate 93 at about 6:45 a.m., said Trooper Nicole Morrell, a State Police spokeswoman. For about two hours, the right and center lanes were closed, with only the left lane allowing traffic to pass through.
Just before 8:45 a.m., the truck was cleared and all lanes were reopened, Morrell said.
