LONDON, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- British author and socialite Pippa Middleton addressed the American booty culture in an upcoming blog post for British political magazine The Spectator. In an essay published Thursday, Kate Middleton's younger sister compares her famed backside to Kim Kardashian's before stating the reality star takes the Rear of 2014 Award.

"I must say that mine -- though it has enjoyed fleeting fame -- is not comparable," Middleton wrote of her own derriere, which became a viral sensation following her sister's wedding to Prince William in 2011.
"But the Kim butt story did make me pause. What is it with this American booty culture? It seems to me to be a form of obsession. Kim's aim, apparently, was to break the Internet, but I'm not sure she's going the right way about it."
Middleton also touched on subjects like wine tasting, salmon fishing and truffle hunting in her post, and admitted she has been enjoying the rare fungi in many meals as of late and that she's a "bit truffled out."
