Talking of a special safety-tailored app in this context, Umeed Kothavala, CEO, Extentia says, “As we continue to witness rising crime against women, the SOS Stay Safe demonstrates the power of technology when an individual is confronted with a personal emergency.”

SOS – Stay Safe! is claimed as a first of its kind application that turns Android smart phones into discreet personal safety devices. The company stated that using revolutionary technology, users are able to request assistance in an emergency with almost no effort.

It explains how it can be out to use in a personal emergency as on shaking the phone discreetly, or clicking the power button three times in succession, it sends an automatic text message/SMS and/or an email to the user’s contacts with a name and a voice recording; as well as the user’s exact location and the battery level of the phone.

These are, in addition, sent at regular intervals to provide real time GPS tracking for the user’s location. Messages are sent unnoticeably — without the user having to even look at the device and any ordinary phone can receive messages from this app.

As per what company shared, SOS Stay Safe can be customized to meet specific requirements for corporate employing a substantial women workforce and explains that the app is useful not just for women but even for senior citizens, and anyone who needs assistance in an urgent situation since it is designed to get you help with minimal or unnoticeable effort.
