Ahinda Yuva Vedike leaders and Mandya District Congress Committee (MDCC) members have sent a report to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice-president, Rahul Gandhi seeking action against Housing Minister M.H. Ambareesh for “tarnishing the image of the party”.

The leaders, on December 1, sent a three-page report with a video footage to Mr. Gandhi and requested him to issue suitable instructions to Mr. Ambareesh to mend his ways and style of functioning as a minister.

In the report, they came down heavily on Mr. Ambareesh for speaking in public against the party, neglecting the loyal Congress activists and for skipping the recently held State Cabinet meeting at Kalaburagi.

They also submitted copies of the report to AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh, Mr. Siddaramaiah and Mr. Parameshwara. A total of 120 members have signed the report.
