RAMBAN, Dec 10 : To check absenteeism in the Government offices, the Deputy Commissioner Ramban Farooq Shah Bukhari today deputed a special team led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Nawab Din to conduct surprise inspection at the Government offices across the district.
During the inspection of Government offices, seven officials including three officers of PDD and CAPD were found unauthorizedly absent from duty.
The absentees include officials from the departments of PDD, Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution and Education.
According to the order the complaints were received by the administration for disrupted and uneven supply of electricity in Ramban and the adjoining areas. The electricity used to remain off even during scheduled peak hours when the public desperately needs for daily routine work.
Consequently, Assistant Executive Engineer (PDD) Ramban King Kumar has been placed under suspension with immediate effect for remaining absent from duty unauthorisedly without seeking prior permission from the authorities. The salary of the two Junior Engineers of PDD Ramban namely Kabal Singh and Parshotam Singh has been withheld with immediate effect.
The other employees who were found absent includes AD CAPD Ghulam Rasool, Mohan Singh Jamwal Assistant Secretary Board of School Education Ramban, Ghulam Nabi Sheikh TSO Ramban and Rahilla Begum Orderly CAPD. Explanation was sought from these absentees for explaining the reasons of remaining absent from their duties unauthorisedly.
