GHAZIABAD: A 25-year-old trader was allegedly shot dead by assailants in
Masuri on Wednesday. Lalit Gujjar died of a gunshot injury in his head, police said. The incident happened around 8.30 pm at Ikla village in Masuri when Gujjar, a provision store owner, was returning to his home from his shop. Lalit succumbed to his injury on way to Columbia Hospital on NH-24.
"Lalit was shot at a place in between his shop and home. It is not clear as to who shot him or the motive of the murder," said DSP Rajesh Pandey. An FIR has been lodged against unknown persons under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC. His body has been sent for post mortem.
