YSR Congress Party leader Y.S. Sharmila has asked people to bring back “Rajanna Rajyam”, in which taxes were not increased and welfare schemes were implemented on saturation mode for five years, again in the State.

Suggesting the people to be the guards of the welfare schemes introduced by late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and ensure that they continued to reach all the poor. Speaking at Wanaparthy in Mahabubnagar district as part of the third day of her ‘paramarsha yatra’ on Wednesday, she said YSR was still alive in the hearts of people as he was a people’s leader and because of his welfare schemes.

The third day’s yatra took off from Kollapur with Ms. Sharmila consoling Anjaneyulu, whose wife Lachamma died unable to bear the untimely death of YSR, at Pentlapalli. After unveiling a statue of YSR at Govardhanagiri, she consoled Buchaiah at Chityala where his wife Manemma died due to shock on hearing the tragic death of YSR. Mr. Buchaiah said farming was remunerative during the YSR rule but it was loss-making now.

Ms. Sharmila also spoke to people at Peddagudem after unveiling a YSR’s statue there.
