IIIT-H students get 1.5 crore package

Students of International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad have been picked up by Google and Facebook for an average salary of Rs. 1.5 crore per annum to work in the USA during the campus placement drive.

According to Devi Prasad, Head, Placements IIIT-H about 110 students have been placed so far in 16 companies. Among them Google Mountain View, California has offered placements to six students while another five students got placed for Facebook, Menlo Park, California.

He said a total number of 120 companies have been registered for placements. Some of the other companies that visited the campus so far include Microsoft, Google, LinkedIn, Amazon, Walmart, Citrix R&D, DE Shaw, Flipkart, and Adobe among others. About 120 companies have registered for placements. From 2011 the institute has been able to achieve 100 percent placements.
