THE Telugu Association of Malaysia (TAM) hopes that the National Registration Department (NRD) will allow it to issue letters on behalf of members as proof of their ethnicity in birth certificates.

TAM president Datuk Dr Achaiah Kumar Rao said currently, there was a provision for Telugus to indicate their ethnicity on birth certificates, but they are often asked to provide documentation.
