If you're looking to fill your living room with sounds, the best way to do that is with a set of four standing speakers.
Hi, I'm Ty Pendlebury and today I'm looking at the PSB X-1Ts.
These PSBs are fairly short for a set of floor standers at only 34 and a half inches tall.
These speakers come in a black ash wrap and feature two yellow five inch drivers which are a composite.
Of ceramic and polypropylene.
The tweeter is a partly shielded one inch titanium driver.
The speakers are ported at the front which means you can put them close to the wall without worrying about the sound getting too boomy.
At 900 bucks these speakers are getting into higher end territory, but unfortunately they're not up to par with other speakers at the price.
They do sound good with acoustic music and jazz with a very revealing character.
But give them something more strident like rock and roll, and they can sound a little too thin.
In comparison, a speaker like the SBS Prime Tower also sounds good with lighter styles of music, but has a lot more bottom end, and hence is better with a broader range of music.
While the [UNKNOWN] would be perfectly fine in a home theatre situation, I'd consider the more expensive and more talented X2T sibling instead.
