Robin Sewell: Agustin Kitchen, 'Mary Poppins', luminarias

Robin Sewell
Special for The Republic

Phoenix Theatre's production of "Mary Poppins" stars Trisha Hart Ditsworth in the title role and Toby Yatso as Bert the chimney-sweep.

Agustin Kitchen

In the Mercado District on the west side of Congress Street in Tucson, we found a wonderful restaurant serving dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. At Agustin Kitchen, I sat with new friends at a communal table and sampled the Jars, a sharing plate of several spreads with crostini. Other good choices include cioppino (seafood in tomato broth), housemade cavatelli or butter-poached chicken breast. Closed Mondays.

"Mary Poppins"

Everyone's favorite magical nanny and her singing, tap-dancing, chimney-sweep friend are here to celebrate the magic of the season. The movie version has made generations of adults and children laugh and sing catchy little numbers like "A Spoonful of Sugar" and the tongue twister "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." See the stage version at Phoenix Theatre and discover a world where anything can happen if you let it.
