Barnard College’s Athena Center for Leadership Studies and Women and Hollywood have set the dates and awardees for the fifth annual Athena Film Festival, running Feb. 5-8, 2015 on the upper Manhattan campus of Barnard College.

The honorees will include HBO Documentary Films president Sheila Nevins, “Beyond the Lights” and “Love & Basketball” director Gina Prince-Bythewood (pictured above) and Mandalay Pictures and Women in Film president Cathy Schulman. The festival, showcasing films that spotlight women’s leadership, will also feature the Athena List, billed as the “gender conscious cousin” of the Black List, which features three to five unproduced screenplays centered on strong female characters.

The festival’s founding sponsors include Regina K. Scully, the Phoebe Snow Foundation and the Artemis Rising Foundation. Full information on the festival’s programs is expected to be announced in January 2015.
