Six caught for kerosene and LPG black-marketing
SURAT: The district civil supplies department caught six people involved in the black-marketing of subsidized kerosene and illegal refilling of LPG cylinders from Limbayat and Bamroli areas on Monday.
The civil supplies officials raided the shops and godowns at Godadra, Dindoli, Bamroli and Limbayat following the information on the black-marketing of kerosene and the LPG cylinder refilling.

During the course of raids, the department found LPG refilling from four spots and that more than 15 LPG cylinders were seized. The officials also seized the instrument kits used for the refilling of LPG cylinders.
Sources said that the offenders were refilling the LPG from the 14.5 kilogram domestic cylinder and that they were charging Rs 70 per kilogram.
Meanwhile, two persons were caught for black-marketing the fair priced kerosene for Rs 40 to Rs 50 per liter.
