Paridhi Sharma: Off screen friendship is not important for onscreen chemistry
This might be her first show as the lead actress, but Paridhi Sharma has become a household name as the beautiful Jodha of 'Jodha Akbar'. The actress, who now plays a mother after the show took a small leap, has no apprehensions of playing a mother. Paridhi says, “I am an actor and I will do what is required from me. In fact fact, I am enjoying playing a mother. It has been a wonderful journey for me till now on this show.
I have grown as a person; I have become more matured and I can say my acting has also improved. Playing Jodha was a big responsibility as people had pre-conceived notions about the story and characters. But the entire team had to justify everything we did.”

She adds, “I did a character role in Ruk Jaana Nahi and a negative role in Tere Mere Sapne. This was my first show as a lead and it has been a defining role for me.”
Paridhi is rumoured to not have very good relations with her costar Rajat Tokas, who plays Akbar. Given that the two have to share a good onscreen chemistry for the love story, the actress talks about her off screen relation with him and says, “I don’t think it is important for actors to gel off screen to get their onscreen chemistry right. We just have to be professionals. Rajat is a very dedicated, hardworking actor.”
