Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma on Monday expressed his condolences to the family of Christian Ashley Botha, the former director of music at the Drakensberg Boys Choir.

“On behalf of government and all the people of South Africa, we wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to his family, the Drakensberg Boys Choir and Drakensberg community as well as lovers of choral music countrywide,” Zuma said in a statement.

“May his soul rest in peace.”

Botha died on Saturday, the Drakensberg Boys Choir said.

“It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Bunny Ashley Botha early this (Saturday) morning, the school announced on its Facebook page.
