Actor Siddique’s son debuts in Pathemari, as Mammootty’s son!

Yet another star kid has entered the block; ShaheenSiddique, son of actor Siddique. Shaheen will be seen in Salim Ahmed's Pathemari, where the award-winning director has roped in the star kid to play son to megastarMammootty’s character. Shaheen, who is excited about his debut venture, says, “I am thankful to the director for picking me for the role of Mammootty’s son.”
What took the young businessman so long to step into films? “I was never confident about myself and was in doubt whether people would like me on screen.I thought of giving it a try when Salim offered me the role. It is a small role, of a guy in his late 20s.”
Actor Siddique plays a prominent role in the film but the father-son duo do not have any combination scenes. “Mammootty is like an elder brother to my father; he’s my uncle and I look forward to acting with him,” says Shaheen, who will join the second schedule soon at Thrissur.
The movie captures the life of a Gulf Malayali, enacted by Mammootty. TV host Jewel Mary plays the lead opposite the megastar. Actors Sreenivasan, Dinesh, Parvathi Menon, Joy Mathew, Anju Aravind and Anu Joseph are the other cast members in the film.
