Mumbai: A 20 year old wireman has been arrested by the police for allegedly raping a minor girl in Chembur, Mumbai.

According to the sources, the incident took place on Saturday when the girl went to meet her friend in a Chembur slum. While the victim was waiting for her friend, the accused, on seeing the girl alone, took her to his house where he raped her and also did unnatural sex with her.

The incident came into light after the girl complained her mother about pain in her private parts after which she was taken to the hospital where the doctor confirmed the incident.

The victim's family lodged a complaint with the police after doctor's report.

While the police booked the accused under sections of the IPC for 354 (outrage modesty), 376 (rape), 377 (unnatural sex) and under the POCSO Act, the accused has been absconding after commiting the crime.
