Marouane Fellaini has admitted that he feels tired after starting regularly for Manchester United.

The Belgium international was declared a flop after a poor run in his debut season at Old Trafford. He was set to be offloaded in the summer before an injury blocked his transfer.

The 27-year-old came as a second half substitute for Ander Herrera against West Bromwich Albion in October and scored his first goal for United. After that game, Fellaini has started in every fixture for Louis van Gaal's side, including a 2-1 win over Stoke City, where he opened the scoring.

"It's good for the confidence to score the goal. It was a great cross as well and it was a great combination, so it's good. I feel a little bit tired as I start to play every game so I feel the fatigue but I have to rest and work hard again," Fellaini explained.

United started this season with a defeat against Swansea City at Old Trafford and that was followed by a shock exit in the Capital One Cup after suffering a 4-0 defeat at the hands of MK Dons in August.

However, the 20-time English champions have bounced back and won their last four matches, in which they have conceded only two goals. Fellaini claims the players are working hard to adapt to Van Gaal's philosophy and has urged his teammates to continue their winning streak.

"We know each other a lot better and we know the manager and the staff. We know the philosophy of the manager. We are training hard as well so we have to continue like that. It is good to win four games in a row," the former Everton midfielder said.

"We have to continue like that, to continue to play and to win. It's important for the confidence."

"Yeah, I think we wait for a mistake, but we have to look after us. We have to take it game-by-game and we will see after that. After Boxing Day, we have a lot of games and we have to keep winning," he concluded.

United face Southampton in the upcoming fixture at St Mary's Stadium on Monday. The Saints have suffered defeats against Manchester City and Arsenal and are also struggling with injuries to key players.
