After reviewing ongoing development works in the city, he told reporters that the state government has not sanctioned any fund for the development of the twin cities. "Because of government's negligence, local elected representatives and corporators are being embarrassed by the people."

"Construction of a 2-km-long concrete road from Hosur Cross to Gokul Road will be taken up soon. A proposal of Rs 17 crore funding for the renovation of the airport road has been submitted to the government."
The former chief minister reviewed road construction works at Deshpande Nagar, Unkal Sainagar Road, and directed officials to maintain high standards.
He was accompanied by mayor Shivu Hiremath, Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation commissioner Noor Mansur, corporator Laxman Gandagalekar, former corporator Tippanna Majjagi and others.
