Janeane Garofalo’s loss is Alanna Ubach’s gain.
Garofalo left Bravo’s first-ever scripted series, “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” — which premiered Tuesday — after shooting six episodes, and was replaced by Ubach, whose credits include “Legally Blonde” and “Meet the Fockers.”
Everybody involved denies there was any unpleasantness between Garofalo and the show’s star, Lisa Edelstein, who got married in May, the day before she started shooting the show about divorce.
“There was no fight. It was a mutual decision — creative differences,” a Bravo spokeswoman told me.
Garofalo even came to the show’s premiere party last week at the Crosby Hotel.
