JAMMU, Dec 3: Addressing huge gatherings of people at Makhyala, Badayala Chack, Nud Nai Basti, Devipur, Chanjawan, Biasa Chack Bhore, Batla Naiwala, Chak Kirpalpur, Dalpat and Chack Coloney, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control and Congress candidate Sham Lal Sharma sought vote on the basis of his performance.
He urged people to judge his 12-year performance from the development works executed in their areas, new roads connectivity, drinking water supply schemes, Tube Wells, upgraded schools, dispensaries, Power supply and Niabat status for Devipur. He also reminded people how their areas were used to be neglected before his election as their MLA
Sham Lal said that the ensuing Assembly elections are of political and historical significance in the changed political scenario as the parties like BJP and NC are all busy in pampering and appeasement of Kashmiri people. Therefore, he added, if Jammu people have to stake for their denied Justice and Rights, they must wake up to vote Congress that envisaged clear vision towards promised Regional Development Council to deliver goods.
Sham Lal claimed that Akhnoor being his motherland was given due attention during his tenures and he made it a point to have close rapport with each local. Lambasting those who misled the innocent people, he asked people to teach such misleading elements a lesson by pressing the Congress symbol Hand on EVMs.
Reiterating his commitment towards Akhnoor, Sham Lal said that he would always remain in the service of his people and the motherland that are supreme for him. He also predicted that Congress would form next Government in the State with a Chief Minister from Jammu.
