INDORE: Two persons, including a 40-year-old gunrunner Malkhan Singh and a part-time photographer Guddu alias Aslam have been arrested with six semi-automatic pistols in Indore on Monday.
The arrested gunrunner, who operated from Dhamnod in Dhar district, was carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 on his head. Malkhan was on the run, following the arrest of two persons with three pistols by crime branch, two days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Indore in October 2014.

“We were tracking Malkhan’s movement since last few days and managed to nab him on Monday in the city, just after he supplied two pistols to Guddu alias Aslam in Indore,” additional SP Crime Vinay Prakash Paul said on Tuesday.
The other arrested man Guddu is a part-time photographer, who had purchased 2 pistols from Malkhan. The crime branch is now probing the possible crime history of Guddu, who is a resident of city’s Kohinoor Colony area.
Primary interrogation revealed that Malkhan Singh was making firearms and supplying it to criminals in the state since the past many years. “He has made so many pistols for clients in the past that he doesn’t even remember the number of pistols made and supplied by him,” said a crime branch officer.
A pistol supplied by him was used by the gang of Samir Lala in attacking the members of Younis Khan’s gang in the high security Residency area of Indore in June 2014.
Samir Lala is still on the run, which triggered the killing of one Javed by the members of Younis Khan in city’s Azad Nagar area two weeks ago.
