Uddhav Thackeray has extended financial assistance of Rs one lakh to Shantabai, the widow of marginal farmer Kashiram Indore, who set himself afire on a pyre on November 28. The cash was handed over to Shantabai at their village Manarkhed by Eknath Shinde.

Three more farmers end life
Shrikrishna Madavi (43), marginal farmer at Ramapur village under Akot tehsil of Akola district committed suicide by jumping before a train near Umri railway gate on Monday, the police said. He leaves behind wife, 3 sons and parents to mourn his loss.
Another farmer
Ramesh Kankal (52) ended his life by consuming poison at Manasgaon in Shegaon tehsil of adjoining Buldhana district two days ago. He leaved behind his wife, one daughter and son.
Progressive farmer Shiv Shankar Jawlekar (24) committed suicide by hanging himself to death at his residence at village Jawla BK in Shegaon tehsil of neighbouring Buldhana district two days ago.
