Ajay Devgn- Yami to Arjun- Sonakshi: Fresh jodis to hit the screen soon
There was a time when directors cast oft-repeated hit jodis in their films. But now, more and more filmmakers are opting for fresh pairs on screen. The next string of releases is a clear indicator.
Action Jackson may have Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha together, who have previously delivered the hit 'Son Of Sardaar'. But the film also has Ajay romancing Yami Gautam and debutante Manasvi Mamgai.
While Manasvi is seen in a sultry avatar, Yami seems to bring out the romantic side of AJ.

After teaming up with Ajay this year, Sonakshi will begin the new year with a new co-star. Her first release of 2015, Tevar sees her opposite Arjun Kapoor. If the initial looks are anything to go by, the two make for a striking pair. Of course, rumours of them being an off-screen couple as well have only added to the audience’s curiosity.

Talking of Sonakshi, how can we miss out on her favourite co-star Akshay Kumar? Akki has never shied away from being cast opposite relative newcomers. Baby has him sharing screen space with Taapsee Pannu and Madhurima Tuli.

Sonam Kapoor repeats her co-stars as rarely as she repeats her designer clothes. This time around, she has not one but three new men wooing her in Dolly Ki Doli — Pulkit Samrat, Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma.

Meanwhile, Sonam’s first co-star Ranbir Kapoor will enjoy two new love interests — we mean on screen strictly. His period drama Bombay Velvet finally sees him working with Anushka Sharma. The actress was reportedly one of the contenders for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, but that, as we all know, came to a naught.

Besides Anushka, Ranbir will be pairing up with another leggy lass, Jacqueline Fernandez in Roy. While he reportedly has a special appearance, the film’s leading man Arjun Rampal too will be romancing Jackie for the first time. They had shared screen time of barely five minutes earlier when the Sri Lankan beauty had grooved to Dhanno in Housefull.

It’s a case of many firsts for Varun Dhawan as far as Badlapur is concerned. The actor will not only be seen opposite Huma Qureshi and Yami for the first time, but has reportedly even shot a lip lock with Divya Dutta for the thriller.

John Abraham will be seen opposite Shruti Haasan in Welcome Back. On the other hand, Shruti’s good friend Dhanush is facing the arc lights with her younger sister Akshara for Shamitabh — making for yet another new jodi.
While Amitabh Bachchan completes the trio in the R Balki film, his son Abhishek will keep Asin company in All Is Well. Interestingly, the two had played siblings in the 2012 comedy Bol Bachchan, but have been paired romantically for the first time.
Dil Dhadakne Do is awaited for many reasons. One of them is the coming together of Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra. The two have worked previously in the capacity of director-actor and it will be exciting to see the union of these acting forces.
