PX & PTA prices down in Far East Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices went down in Asian markets. PX prices declined in SE Asia, and they ranged between US$ 960 and 965 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PX prices plunged to US$ 940 per ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased to a range of US$ 1015 to 1020 per ton.
 
PTA prices went down in Asia. SE Asian market witnessed a decline in PTA prices which ranged between US$ 755 and 760 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PTA prices plunged to US$ 735 per ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined to a range of US$ 750 to 755 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices decreased to a range of RMB 5460 to 5510 per ton.
 
Ethylene prices declined in Asian markets. In the SE Asian market, Ethylene prices declined ranging between US$ 1155 and 1160 per ton. In the FE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 1075 per ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices were stable ranging between 50.50 and 51.00 cents per pound. Ethylene prices went down in the European international as well as in domestic markets to US$ 1115 per ton and € 920 per ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices plunged in Asia. In SE Asia, MEG prices decreased to US$ 830 per ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased ranging between US$ 870 to 875 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased to a range of RMB 6360 to 6410 per ton.
 
In SE Asia, prices of BG PET Chips declined and ranging between US$ 1130 to 1170 per ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1140 to 1180 per ton. In the FE Asian market, selling offers went down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1150 to 1190 per ton, while talked prices hovered in the range of US$ 1160 to 1200 per ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices remained steady ranging between RMB 7950 and 8000 per ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips plunged and were quoted between US$ 1010 and 1050 per ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1020 to 1060 per ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices went down ranging between RMB 7450 to 7500 per ton.
 
PSF prices were steady in Asia. In the FE Asian market, PSF prices remained stable at US$ 1210 per ton. In the SE Asian market, PSF selling prices kept unchanged at US$ 1110 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were stable ranging between RMB 8300 and 8325 per ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY were steady at RMB 9100 per ton, RMB 10750 per ton and RMB 8900 per ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY were stable at US$ 1240 per ton, US$ 1470 per ton and US$ 1195 per ton, respectively.
