The Bolsheviks Party in South Africa supports the 16 days of activism against violence against women

Of late, many an instances have been the fore of the day, where women and children are being abused and in many cases at the hands of the ones that are supposed to be protecting them.

This is indeed a very sad state of affairs that we have to live in a society where the most vulnerable become the victims on a daily basis.

Children do not ask to be born, they are the product of two people that wish to consummate their marriage and have children as their legacy and pride.

And now those exact children become the victims of violence in our society.

Rape, murder being but some of the horrendous crimes that of recent has been prevailing amongst those children that we are supposed to love and nurture and protect them from.

It is minor children that are being raped, and one needs to wonder, what kind of satisfaction anyone can have, from raping a child, in many instances not even 5 years old?

Children are dragged behind a car in a botched high-jack for 4 kilometers, and the high-jacker’s just carrying on with what they were doing – where the car is regarded of more value that the child that is being dragged on and dying in the process.

We need to have some serious introspective (thoughtful, meditative, reflective, contemplative, self-examining) debate amongst us to realize that a life has value, and that value has to be respected come hell or high water.

We have become so morally driven by material matters that we in the process have obliterated (destroyed, eliminated, eradicated, annihilated, abolished) the value of other things that we should have as moral standards in life.

When we hear and read about the crime statistics, we are shocked for that brief minute, but what do we actually do to try and reduce those statistics? Nothing much as we have become so blasé about the prevailing situation, that our doubt as to whether or not those statistics are even reflective of the actual situation, that it merely effects us for that brief short moment, and then we carry on as if there is really no problem.

Daily we witness read and see how these innocent human beings are being killed, abused, etc. but we have become laissez faire in even trying to do something to prevent it from happening in the process. This is indeed a very sad state of affairs!
We live in a world where facts and fiction get blurred
