IT IS an established VIP yearbook that contains the biographies of 33,000 famous people from actors and pop stars to clergymen and politicians.

But the well-known Who's Who publication has consistently made headlines here for a notable absentee - Taoiseach Enda Kenny.

Mr Kenny has today made his debut 11 years after the book's publishers first invited him to appear.

"We have invited Mr Kenny to appear several times in the past. The first time was (in 2004) for the 2005 edition, when he was Leader of the Opposition," a spokeswoman for publishers A and C Black said last night.

The Fine Gael Party leader is among 850 new names in the latest edition of the world-famous reference book.

Other debutantes include Sir Mick Jagger's ex wife, Bianca, and popstar Damon Albarn.

The 2015 edition of Who's Who retails at €330.
