Rishikesh, Nov 30 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat has demanded quick release of funds from the central government with the aim to expedite the country's ambitious project of clean Ganges mission. Rawat inaugurated the two-day WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) Summit on Saturday, on the banks of River Ganga to lay emphasis on the cleanliness drive. Addressing the inaugural session, Rawat said that maintaining sanctity and purity of River Ganga was a top priority of the state government. Rawat sought aid from the Bharatiya Janata Party government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for cleaning of River Ganga, which is a part of the much touted ‘Clean India mission'.
