Fijian investors in the Northern Division were provided new information about the potential that exists in the agriculture, fisheries and forestry sectors.

Thirty participants attended the Investment Fiji 2014 Export Awareness Seminar at the Hotel Takia.

The theme “Barriers to Exporting in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Products.”

The principal economist in the Ministry of Agriculture, Pauliasi Tuilau, said it was his goal to inform North participants about market information access on the variety of commodities.

“The purpose is to facilitate and provide Fiji investors about agricultural exports and export markets,” Mr Tuilau said.

“Key markets for agricultural exports such as Australia and New Zealand are exposed to these budding exporters in the North to help them with their business.

“It is a very interesting and important workshop to help exporters in their decision making process.”
