Preetika Rao recuperates at home from typhoid

Though her show Beintehaa has gone off air, Preetika Rao has not been able to make the best use of her free time.
The actress, who played Alia in the recently concluded show, is down with typhoid. Currently recuperating at home, she says, “I had been suffering from typhoid during the last three days of shoot. Everyone panicked because we were filming the grand finale.A doctor was called on the set and with some medication, I managed to shoot my sequences and even partied till the wee hours of the morning. Now, I’ve been advised rest by the doctor.”

About her experience of shooting for the show, the actress recollects how one of her fans flew down all the way from UK to meet her, in the last leg of the schedule.
“Shabina convinced her three kids and husband to stay back in London. She even cancelled her plans of a second honeymoon to come to India. She told me she wanted Alia’s autograph for her kids. That, despite my ill health, kind of made my day,” she smiles.
