Volkswagen Vento launched

German automobile major Volkswagen launched the latest model of its SUV ‘Vento’ at ATR Cars showroom at Ramavarappadu here on Friday.

It is powered by a 1.5 litre TDI (turbocharged direct injection) engine paired with a seven-speed DSG (direct-shift gearbox). ATR Cars Private Limited General Manager B. Venkatesh said the car’s diesel and petrol variants were adjudged by Automotive Research Association of India as the best in their class in mileage.

Other features of this stylish car are ESP (Electronic Stability Program) hill hold control, 15-inch Spokane alloy wheels and dual front airbags. The ex-showroom price ranges from Rs. 7.73 lakh to Rs 11.37 lakh for the high-end version.

The all-new Vento was launched in the local market by Andhra Bank Deputy General Manager G.S.V. Krishna Rao. Bank Assistant General Manager P. Jeevan Kumar, Chief Manager (Gunadala branch) K. Suresh Babu. ATR Cars executives Sivaji and Raghava Prasad were also present.
