Gujarat cadre IPS set to head SPG

Gujarat cadre IPS Vivek Srivastav(1989 batch) is set to take over as head of Special Protection Group(SPG).
Vivek Shrivastava, who is currently posted in Intelligence Bureau in New Delhi, in past worked as district superintendent of police, Kutch. He later also worked as deputy commissioner, prohibition and excise in Ahmedabad Zone.
It was Vivek Shirvastava who had informed Modi about the Patna blasts as he was IB station head in Patna.
