Bengaluru based TMA Hospitality Services flagship brand Ammi’s Biryani has entered Mumbai with six outlets in Andheri East and West, Malad, Mira Road, Kandivili and Borivalli. Started in 2008, operating out of a solitary outlet in Koramangala, Bengaluru, Ammi’s Biryani set out on a remarkable journey driven by a resolute purpose – to serve India’s choicest Biryani. Ammi’s Biryani was funded by SAIF Partners, a private equity firm that provides growth capital to companies in Asia.
Speaking on the launch, Navaj Sharief, founder and CMD, Ammi’s Biryani said, “After the success in Bengaluru and Chennai, we are very happy to launch our stores in Mumbai. It has been our endeavour to enhance customer experience with superior service that ensures our customers can have a complete meal options available without compromising on time, quality and health. The launch of Ammi’s Biryani in Mumbai is a significant achievement for us and underlines the importance of this city for us and we plan to open 50 stores in Mumbai by the end of 2015.”
Ammi’s is now an established brand with several outlets spread across Bengaluru and Chennai with over 60 operational stores. The brand’s tag line “Jab Hungry Kuch Accha Khao” emphasises on good and healthy food with a unique concept of ‘Biryani in a box’ guaranteed delivered in 45 minutes.
Sharief developed the concept of ‘Biryani in a box’, which is also the important unique selling proposition of Ammi’s Biryani. The box concept allows the consumer to enjoy the delicacy with convenience like any other fast food.
For all the biryani buffs in Mumbai, Ammi’s introduces ‘Mumbaiya Chicken Biryani’ adding the flavour of Mumbai for the first time in their Menu. Apart from Biryani the outlet will also serve wide range of choices which includes tikkas, rolls, parathas, desserts and beverages. Ammi’s choicest biryanis, of which Hyderabadi Kacchi Dum Biryani occupies a special place.
