AHMEDABAD: New Delhi-based National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSICL) has pledged around Rs 14 lakh from its CSR fund for the welfare of the disabled in the city and state. The PSU will donate 160 tricycles to the disabled in the state on Friday at a function at the Blind People’s Association (BPA) and will conduct medical camps at eight different places.
According to BPA officials, the PSU has pledged Rs 8.96 lakh for tricycles and Rs 5 lakh for medical camps. The initiative would help a total of 3,333 persons with disabilities, said the officials.
Medical camps will be conducted at BPA campus at Vastrapur, Bareja, Bhuj, Bavla, Naaz, Palanpur, Sayla and Daskroi.
