Halifax Regional Police are investigating a report of shots fired at the corner of Cunard and Maynard streets.
Police responded to the scene at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
Investigators say a witness reported seeing someone in a vehicle fire a number of shots at a pedestrian walking on Maynard Streets.
Neither the pedestrian nor the vehicle has been located.
Police say the car is described as a black four-door sedan with a tinted rear window. The pedestrian is described as a black man wearing a reflective traffic vest.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
