A Ravens player was late to a team meeting because he wanted to build a snowman

It snowed … a bit … in Maryland on Wednesday so Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan, according to the team’s official website, was a little late to the team meeting. For those who have ever lived in Maryland, it’s easy to insert a joke about how Maryland drivers can’t handle any bit of snow, but that wasn’t why Jernigan was running behind.

Instead, he was trying to build a snowman and hadn’t been told the meeting was changed.

Jernigan, who went to school at Florida State and grew up in Florida, had reportedly never seen snow.

“It’s different,” he told the team’s website. “It freaked me out this morning. Yesterday, it was warm outside. [Today] woke up, drove my car to practice, can’t even drive it home.”
