Actor Manav Gohil, who was last seen in The Buddy Project as an adorable professor, will soon be seen in an interesting character on SAB TV’s next, Yam Hai Hum. The actor will essay the role of Yamraj in the Siddharth Kumar Tewary Production which also happens to be the producer’s first comedy show.
Sources reveal that the show is inspired from the Kader Khan starrer, Taqdeerwala that released in 1995 and aims to be a slice-of-life drama with subtle comedy. While Manav confirms his character, he refuses to give details, stating, “I wouldn’t be able to say if the show is inspired by the Kader Khan film. It’s too early to comment. However, I am doing a comic role.”
Talking about roping in Gohil, Tewary said, “He is a great actor who believes in giving his best to every character he portrays, his genuine approach towards his work makes him perfect for the role. This show is really special to me as it’s my first show in the comedy genre.”
The actor and the producer had earlier worked together in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. Yam… is already on the floors and will go on air in December. It also stars actor Atul Parchure as Chitragupt.
