With the underworld raising their ugly head once again, film-maker Mahesh Bhatt and his family have become their latest target. According to the police, underworld don Ravi Pujari had sent a 13 member team to patrol outside Bhatt’s office in Mumbai and target either Bhatt or his elder brother Mukesh Bhatt or son Rahul. This is not the first time that the industry has been targetted by the underworld. Earlier, Pujari had made threat calls to Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar and film-maker Ritesh Sidhwani.
Stay order
The Madras High Court recently admitted a petition alleging that the makers of the Rajinikant-starrer Lingaa had stolen the storyline of another Tamil film and sought a stay on the movie’s release. The petitioner, K.R. Ravi Rathinam, alleged that the film-maker had stolen the story of Mullai Vanam 999, being produced by him. He sought a direction from the authorities to constitute a committee to conduct an inquiry and find out the true ownership of the single storyline found in both the films. Lingaa will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi .
