Music lovers in the city are in for a treat this weekend as the Bacardi NH7 Weekender powered by MTS comes back to town. The festival, featuring performances by a diverse mix of Indian and international artistes, will be held at the Buddh International Circuit on November 29 and 30.
Music producer Amit Trivedi will make his music festival debut on the folk and fusion themed The Dewarists stage.
India’s edgiest comedy collective, AIB, known for their hilarious sketches on their YouTube channel, will stage a musical performance at the festival. English indie rockers The Vaccines will also make their India debut on the Bacardi Arena. Songwriter, actress and poet Monica Dogra, aka Shaa’ir of Shaa’ir + Func, will play a solo set.

The “weapon of bass destruction” Duke Nucleya will bring some irresistible energy and beats to the Electronica stage where some cutting-edge electronic and dance artistes will perform. Fans can also catch popular indie pop group Goldspot, who have been described by the Los Angeles Times Magazine as “a hint of George Harrison at his transcendental best”. Stray Dog, a youth brand, is giving festival goers the opportunity to jam at the Stray Dog Jam Room at the festival. A lucky few will get a chance to meet with select artistes at the Stray Dog Jam Room as well.
Apart from music circuit regulars like The Raghu Dixit Project, Dualist Enquiry, Sandunes Ensemble and Run It’s the Kid, many desi and international acts will be making their Noida debut. British-Indian singer Luke Sital Singh, electronica band Alo Wala and Mumbai’s Tejas and Delhi’s Curtain Blue are some such names. Apart from the music, there’s the giant wheel for the adventure enthusiasts and the cool flea market for shopaholics to check out.
The tickets for the festival are available at Insider.in. Booking four tickets makes you eligible to win a to-and-fro trip to the festival on both days in a new Mercedes GLA.
