— -- Joan Rivers died nearly three months ago, but her daughter continues to keep her legacy alive and well, and fans smiling.

Melissa Rivers today tweeted from the late comedian's account, writing, "I finally figured out my mom's password HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Xo Melissa."

She also shared a sweet picture of the two of them all dolled up in black dresses for a special event. This was the first tweet from Rivers' account since Aug. 27.

Joan's fans were more than pleased to see Rivers' Twitter account active again, with more than 6,000 "favorites" in two hours.

Rivers died Sept. 4 at age 81 after having been in the hospital for a week following a cardiac arrest during a medical procedure in New York City.

"It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother, Joan Rivers," Melissa Rivers released via a statement at the time of the comedian's death. "She passed peacefully at 1:17 p.m. surrounded by family and close friends."

Melissa added at the time that she and her son, Cooper, "have found ourselves humbled by the outpouring of love, support and prayers we have received from around the world."
