KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday got off from his car and greeted people lined up to have a glimpse of the Indian leader while he was on his way to attend the Nepalese President's banquet here.
As people waved at him, Modi made a surprised stop-over and came out of his car to shake hands with them.
He thanked the crowd which thronged his route to President Ram Baran Yadav's place.

Last time also during his visit here in August, Modi had made similar gestures when he stopped his motorcade to greet the by-standers who were waiting to welcome him on his maiden trip to this Himalayan nation.
