Portman to take Jobs with Boyle?

Natalie Portman is tipped to join Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs film

Natalie Portman is in talks to join Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs biopic.

The Oscar-winning actress could be joining Michael Fassbender, who is tipped for the role of the late Apple co-founder, in the film, reported Deadline.

The movie, which is being adapted by Aaron Sorkin from Walter Isaacson's biography Steve Jobs, is now being backed by Universal Pictures after it was dropped by Sony Pictures.

Shame star Michael has been in discussions to play the technology genius, following Christian Bale's exit, with Seth Rogen in the frame to portray his business partner, Steve Wozniak.

Scarlett Johansson has also apparently been approached about a part.

Natalie, last seen reprising her role as scientist Dr Jane Foster in Thor: The Dark World, will next star in Gavin O'Connor's Western Jane Got A Gun and a couple of Terrence Malick movies.

The 33-year-old actress has also been busy working on her directorial debut, the big-screen adaptation of Israeli writer Amos Oz's memoir A Tale Of Love And Darkness, which she will also star in.
